Ark Space was established in 1998 as a resource for the local community. It is an area for people of all genres in Ealing and the surrounding areas to perform their talents and express themselves.
Ark was founded by Yousif Naser and Dalal Al-Mufti.
Since the conception of Ark, dozens of cultural activities have taken place in the venue.
These vary between art exhibitions, musical performances, poetry readings, art workshops, lectures and discussions.

A four weeks course organized by Ark gallery, will include, Arabic music history, most main Maqams and rhythms (scales) with practical

applications on Oud

 

Every Tuesday

Four weeks, starting on Tuesday 22 June 2010.

The participants in the course may merely listen and discuss the theoretical aspect of the music or may wish to bring their instruments as musical accompaniment to gain practical experience.
