Ark Space in Ealing

Ark Space was established in 1998 as a resource for the local community. It is an area for people of all genres in Ealing and the surrounding areas to perform their talents and express themselves.
Ark was founded by Yousif Naser and Dalal Al-Mufti.
Since the conception of Ark, dozens of cultural activities have taken place in the venue: art exhibitions, musical performances, poetry readings, art workshops, lectures and discussions.

Calligraphic Marquetry course

As part of its aim and objectives the Ark Gallery conducts workshops and courses designed to recognise and improve the talents of women, especially refugees and those from ethnic minority communities. The latest marquetry course lasted for more than a month, and took place after the creative writing workshop.

As turnout for these workshops were good and we have received numerous requests for the development of similar courses, we intend to run another course in Calligraphic marquetry for five weeks from Tuesday 17th May 2011, twice a week (Tuesday 12-2pm, Friday 4-6pm)
This course will be in Arabic and English.
The gallery will be providing all the materials and tools required.

Places are limited, so for those who are interested in taking part, please register before 15th May. You can do this by contacting the Ark Gallery on 02087520775 or 07852445050. You may also email us your detail to yousifark@yahoo.co.uk.
